Whilst we compete in dog shows with our top quality dogs representing our prefix, at times we may have a puppy or older dog, who doesn’t suit the dog showing criteria. (Show dogs not only have to be the best example of their breed, they also require the temperament to show themselves off with a bold presence in the ring). In these situations we may seek to find a suitable family for the puppy to join, in a ‘gaurdian home’ arrangement.

This is purposefully done, as it provides us a way to retain the quality lines we have worked so hard to establish, whilst offerring an opportunity for a loving, and mutually dedicated family to add an intentionally bred, quality addition to their family. This puppy can then grow up surrounded with lots of love and attention, in a family setting.

Our carefully selected family will need to enter this arrangement with an understanding of their commitment to a mutually rewarding partnership.

We expect our family to cover all normal costs associated with pet ownership, such as the provision of quality food, vaccinations when required, worming treatments, dental care, and all general vet costs, with the exclusion of any reproductive procedures and management .

We cover all costs related to the health and care of the dog throughout pre breeing, during, and post whelping,

Our hope is to find families who are understanding and supportive of our gaurdian home purpose, and welcome their involvement with the breeding process if desired.

We have a contract which explains the arrangement in more detail, inclusive of its duration, (before the dogs ANKC pedigree papers are transferred into your name)
